Why Do the Nations Throng And the Regimes Talk In Vain?

Tehillim 2/ Psalm

Why do the nations throng and the regimes talk in vain? Do the kings of the earth take their stand and the princes conspire together against Adonai and against His anointed. “Let us cut their cords and let us cast off their ropes from ourselves”. He who sits in heaven will laugh, the L-rd will mock them. Then He will speak to them in His anger, in His wrath He will terrify them: “I myself have anointed My king over Zion, My holy mountain!” I proclaim as an obligation that Adonai said to me, ” My son are you, I have this day begotten you. Ask of Me and I will make nations your inheritance, and your possession the ends of the earth. You will smash them with a rod of iron; like a vessel of a potter you will shatter them.”

The present trouble in the United States and therefore around the world has brought relevance to Psalm 2. The forces attempting to create tear apart our nation seem to be all powerful. But G-d, our Elohim! He will laugh! The fear is in the one who is trying to bring unrest. The chaos is in the one who will not submit to Adonai.

If your feeling the stress of the political atmosphere, then heed verses 10-12: “And now, O kings be wise, be disciplined O judges of the earth. Serve Adonai with awe, so that you may rejoice when there is trembling. Yearn for purity, lest He grow wrathful and your way will be doomed, for in a brief moment will His anger blaze; praiseworthy are all those who trust in Him.”

Though you may not be a king or prince, under the Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus Christ), we have been given the authority to rule as kings over our lives. We are accountable for our thoughts, words and actions. Know in your heart that the L-rd is fighting for His anointed. What your ask for, He will give to you.

“For in union with the Messiah, you are all children of G-d through this trusting faithfulness; because as many of you as were immersed into the Messiah have clothed yourselves with the Messiah, in whom there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor freeman, neither male nor female; for in union with the Messiah Yeshua, you are all one.” Galatians 3:26-28 CJB

As a child of G-d, anointed with His Spirit, He will give you power to smash the ideas of unrest and chaos with a rod of iron within our minds. The nations are our inheritance. They are a place of life and peace. America and the world shall be a place of life and peace.

There is no fear for the evil powers that are trying to tear apart America. Our G-d will deal with them. So join the L-rd and laugh! He is about to move to save us.

O L-RD, My Foes Are So Many! Many are those Who Attack Me

Tehillim 3/ Psalm 3

King David’s son Absalom attempted to overthrow his throne with much public support (II Samuel 15-19). Absalom had appeared to win the hearts of the people by claiming to give each man his justice if he were king. He carried on like this for 40 years. Many people were deceived and the momentum of support encouraged an arrogant, narcissistic Absalom to go to Hebron to be anointed as King.

There is something to be said about “stealing” of hearts and Narcissistic Personality Disorder. But that will have to be another post.

David fled in shame with his family and those who were loyal to him to the wilderness. Psalm 3 expresses David’s trust in the L-rd to restore him to his throne. This faith is a key to our response to the infamy being carried out in the White House at this time. President Trump had left his “throne” to go to Texas (the wilderness?). He is not turning a hand to defend himself and his honor. If Trump returns to the White House, know that it is the L-rd Almighty who returns him there.

Though I clearly honor the reports of many prophets who have spoke that Trump has been chosen to be our President not only for the first term, but the second, let us reason together.

The whole issue surrounding the conflict of the election is the heart of the American people. It doesn’t matter what you think or what side you are on- has your heart been stolen? Is your heart with the L-rd’s heart? Do you want what the G-d wants for this nation? Please consider this. Selah.

“A psalm of David when he fled from his son Absalom.

O LORD, my foes are so many! Many are those who attack me;

many say of me, “There is no deliverance for him through God.”Selah.

But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, He who holds my head high.

I cry aloud to the LORD, and He answers me from His holy mountain. Selah.

I lie down and sleep and wake again, for the LORD sustains me.

I have no fear of the myriad forces arrayed against me on every side.

Rise, O LORD! Deliver me, O my God! For You slap all my enemies in the face; You break the teeth of the wicked.

Deliverance is the LORD’s; Your blessing be upon Your people! Selah.”
