O L-RD, My Foes Are So Many! Many are those Who Attack Me

Tehillim 3/ Psalm 3

King David’s son Absalom attempted to overthrow his throne with much public support (II Samuel 15-19). Absalom had appeared to win the hearts of the people by claiming to give each man his justice if he were king. He carried on like this for 40 years. Many people were deceived and the momentum of support encouraged an arrogant, narcissistic Absalom to go to Hebron to be anointed as King.

There is something to be said about “stealing” of hearts and Narcissistic Personality Disorder. But that will have to be another post.

David fled in shame with his family and those who were loyal to him to the wilderness. Psalm 3 expresses David’s trust in the L-rd to restore him to his throne. This faith is a key to our response to the infamy being carried out in the White House at this time. President Trump had left his “throne” to go to Texas (the wilderness?). He is not turning a hand to defend himself and his honor. If Trump returns to the White House, know that it is the L-rd Almighty who returns him there.

Though I clearly honor the reports of many prophets who have spoke that Trump has been chosen to be our President not only for the first term, but the second, let us reason together.

The whole issue surrounding the conflict of the election is the heart of the American people. It doesn’t matter what you think or what side you are on- has your heart been stolen? Is your heart with the L-rd’s heart? Do you want what the G-d wants for this nation? Please consider this. Selah.

“A psalm of David when he fled from his son Absalom.

O LORD, my foes are so many! Many are those who attack me;

many say of me, “There is no deliverance for him through God.”Selah.

But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, He who holds my head high.

I cry aloud to the LORD, and He answers me from His holy mountain. Selah.

I lie down and sleep and wake again, for the LORD sustains me.

I have no fear of the myriad forces arrayed against me on every side.

Rise, O LORD! Deliver me, O my God! For You slap all my enemies in the face; You break the teeth of the wicked.

Deliverance is the LORD’s; Your blessing be upon Your people! Selah.”
